HEART 2 HEART
Helping Children Thrive—One Connection at a Time
What Is Heart 2 Heart?
Heart 2 Heart is a signature initiative of The Dennis Price Jr. Foundation that meets the real, everyday needs of youth and families living in under-resourced communities. From school supplies to mentorship, from community events to family support, we ensure that children are not just surviving—but thriving.
Rooted in compassion and built on community, Heart 2 Heart creates spaces of stability, dignity, and hope for children who face adversity every day.
What We Do
Through Heart 2 Heart, we:
-
Support Children’s Basic Needs
We distribute essential items—like school supplies, hygiene kits, clothing, and food—to ensure children feel confident, cared for, and prepared.
-
Provide Mentorship and Encouragement
We pair students with mentors and role models through our Men of Clay program and other efforts that foster character, self-worth, and positive futures.
-
Partner with Schools and Families
Our support doesn’t end with a backpack. We work closely with teachers, counselors, and families to understand what children need—and how to meet those needs with love and consistency.
-
Host Community Events
Seasonal drives, holiday events, and family engagement days build connection and joy in neighborhoods where both are often in short supply.
Why It Matters
In communities across Memphis, too many children grow up without access to the essentials—physically, emotionally, or socially. Heart 2 Heart was created to change that.
By surrounding families with care, mentorship, and practical support, we not only meet needs—we plant seeds for stronger, healthier futures.
"These kids don’t just need things—they need to know someone believes in them."
— Tracy Price, Executive Director
Give from the Heart — Support Heart 2 Heart
At The Dennis Price Jr. Foundation, our Heart 2 Heart initiative provides essential needs and mentorship to children and families in underserved Memphis communities. Your gift becomes food on the table, clothes in a closet, hope in a backpack—and a reminder to each child that they are seen, valued, and supported.
